At WholeTable, founder Michael Chang sees a second life where others see waste. In table tennis, high-level players burn through premium rubbers, and facilities regularly upgrade their tables, leaving behind gear with plenty of life. We rescue these discarded, pro-grade rubbers and tables to keep waste out of the environment, putting them into the hands of underprivileged players and turning professional waste into community opportunity.
As a registered 501(c)(3), our mission is twofold:

Environmental Stewardship: We extend the lifecycle of table tennis gear by collecting and refurbishing used equipment, preventing non-biodegradable materials from entering the waste stream.

Global Access: We distribute these resources to local schools and developing nations, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to use pro-level gear, regardless of their economic background. We are committed to a world where geography doesn't limit talent. With three distribution centers already operating in China and a new center on the horizon in Nepal, we are building the infrastructure needed to get 'retired' professional gear back into play. These hubs are the heartbeat of our international outreach, turning equipment donations into professional opportunities for players across the globe.
Mission
As a competitive table tennis player, I’ve seen firsthand how quickly professional equipment is discarded and how expensive it is to stay in the game. My mission is to ensure that a student’s location or income never determines their ability to compete. By collecting and upcycling high-quality rubbers and tables, we are diverting sports waste from landfills and putting professional-grade gear into the hands of aspiring players in my local community and in developing nations. Through these efforts, we are working to make table tennis an accessible, eco-friendly sport.
